I've recently discovered an interesting organization called Wine Brats.  They have chapters all over the country, basically for people who like wine meet to taste and talk.  Cool idea.

New from Down Under: Gavin Trott's wine column discusses Australian wines, wineries, and wine growing regions.  Gavin is the manager of the Australian Wine Centre (a large collection of affordable, rare and cult Australian wines) and hosts the very popular Auswine Forum (An online discussion forum about Australian wine)

Cruising the web I came across LocalWineEvents.com, a really well-designed, searchable web site for finding local wine events anywhere you may be in the world.  It's a free site, very comprehensive, and easy to navigate.  Check out www.LocalWineEvents.com for more information, or look below for events in the Finger Lakes and Oregon wine regions, as well as in New York City.
