Welcome to my Wine Page. Here we'll
review wines from around the world, share tips and hidden gems, and explore
wine-related areas - like great food.
If you want some good reds and want to keep the green in your wallet, read
Stu's Reviews. All wines reviewed are under $10, and his wit and sarcasm are
free. This month's column Stu reveals his "Pet" from south of the border -
Mexico. (Mexico? That's right - Mexico!)
Hey JD: What's
the most special wine in your cellar? -
I'm often asked which wine is
the most special in my cellar. The answer: The 1990 Chateau Montrose
Bordeaux Why?

My friend Fred created a culinary web site as a thesis project
for his MBA. He's a terrific chef and has created an excellent
site rich in content and information. In addition to recipes and
cooking ideas, he also reviews wines and suggests wine/food pairings.

I've
recently discovered an interesting organization called
Wine Brats.
They have chapters all over the country, basically for people who like wine meet
to taste and talk. Cool idea.
New from Down Under:
Gavin Trott's wine column discusses Australian wines, wineries, and wine growing
regions. Gavin is the manager
of the Australian Wine Centre
(a large collection of affordable, rare and cult
Australian wines) and hosts the very popular
Auswine Forum
(An online discussion forum about Australian wine)
Cruising
the web I came across LocalWineEvents.com, a really well-designed,
searchable web site for finding local wine events anywhere you may be in
the world. It's a free site, very comprehensive, and easy to navigate.
Check out
www.LocalWineEvents.com for
more information, or look below for events in the Finger Lakes and
Oregon wine regions, as well as in New York City.
