This year marked my fourth New Orleans JazzFest in a row. Once again my buddy Rob joined me, as well as our friend Ray. JazzFest is the world's largest outdoor music event, and the word "Jazz" is misleading. There are at least ten stages set up, and Jazz occurs on only one of them. There are two large stages for the biggest names, plus a Blues stage, a Zydeco stage, as well as World Music, Gospel, and other stages. Each day the festival runs from 11 AM to 7 PM, with bands rotating every hour to hour and a half, times ten stages, times a total of seven days. And no band plays twice!
